Brief Description:  Canopy wiring disconnect installed...

In order to make working on the remaining wiring easier and to make the canopy easily removeable I installed a molex connector for the compass and glareshield light circuits. I then removed the canopy and put it back in storage. Next I wired the navigation lights circuit. Also I wanted to remove my temporary fuselage internal ballast so I used the shop crane to support the engine. I removed the ballast and relocated it to the tail tie down. When I wanted to install the tie down ring I discovered I had not yet cut the fitting threads so I tapped the fitting first. After the ballast was secured in its new location I lowered the aircraft only to notice the left temporary fuselage support leg was at a bad angle. I rehoisted the fuselage, removed the leg and found the wood had cracked into the lower bolt hole. I disassembled the leg, turned the horizontal leg member in the other direction, drilled new bolt holes in the other end, reassembled the temporary leg and reinstalled it. Lowering the fuselage I checked the new installation and it was holding well so I called it a day.
